We follow two Investigative reporters closely, Abdulelah Haider Shaye and Jeremy Scahill. Unfortunately Abdulelah Haider Shaye was abducted, interrogated and thrown into prison soon after his reporting about Al Majalah massacre in which he revealed US operations in Yemen. (read more about it here: Why Is President Obama Keeping a Journalist in Prison in Yemen? By Jeremy Scahill) Thanks to Investigative Journalist Jeremy Schaill and others on the ground in Yemen, we were able to continue learning. Here are some of our favorites by Jeremy:
- A Short History of Drone Warfare
- Obama’s Foreign Policy Deception
- Obama the Hawk
- Who Approves the Drones?
- Jeremy Scahill: How US Foreign Policy Has Lurched Rightward
- His book Dirty Wars, is. one of the most important books of our times, for Yemenis and non-Yemenis a like. (His book has also been turned into a film and we are waiting to hear back from IFC if we can bring the film to Yemen.)
